We could not have asked for a more gorgeous spring day to celebrate Nicole + Pat’s wedding at the Omni Parker House Boston. The couple was looking for the feeling of their wedding day to be soft and romantic, with colors of gold and blush pink and a fun “city chic” atmosphere! The Omni Parker House Boston’s location right in the heart of the city was perfect for that bustling downtown city atmosphere, and with the nearby parks and historic locations we had lots of opportunity for unique wedding photos with the bride and groom.
Our day started with the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready at the Omni Parker House Boston, while Pat and his groomsmen got ready and hung out at their apartment in South Boston. When everyone was ready, we met up in the Boston Public Garden for the bride and groom’s first look, while the smiling wedding party looked on from a distance. We took advantage of the amazing weather and had time to utilize a few different locations in the Public Garden for formal wedding party photos before heading down to the Gate of Heaven church in South Boston for the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, we took the newlyweds to their neighborhood for a few more photos — including a stop at their favorite park, Thomas Park, just a few blocks away from their South Boston apartment. We then made the trip back into downtown Boston for some pictures in front of the historic Old City Hall on Tremont Street before heading back inside the Omni Parker House Boston to begin the evening reception.
The Omni Parker House Rooftop Ballroom was transformed into an elegant spring wedding reception with a mix of bright pink high and low floral centerpieces, and gold ballroom chairs. We loved the custom touches Nicole and Pat included throughout their reception. Gold-framed signs displayed their special wedding hashtag and signature wedding cocktail — named the “Southie Wildcat” to pay homage to the bride and groom’s neighborhood and alma mater. Following the first dance and toasts from wedding party, we were able to sneak away with Nicole and Pat to get a few photos on the Omni Parker House’s beautiful rooftop, which overlooks the city with an unbeatable view of the Boston skyline. We came back inside for the cake cutting, parent dances, and a night full of dancing to celebrate this wonderful couple.
