Last weekend we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Tamara and Jacob at the Boston Public Library. After getting ready at the nearby Lenox Hotel, we made the short walk across the street to the BPL. Before heading inside, we took a few minutes to take some pictures outside the library with the bride, groom and their wedding party.
With some time before the ceremony, we had the opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful location with some more photos on the grand staircase and in the garden courtyard. From there, the couple signed the Ketubah alongside close family and friends in the Library’s Bates Hall, before moving outside into the courtyard for the ceremony.
After cocktail hour in the courtyard guests headed inside to the reception, held in the Popular Reading Room. Tamara and Jacob took the theme of the library and ran with it, even using individualized “date due” library cards to print their guests’ seating and table numbers. The bright orange and red colors of the table centerpieces (which were matched by the bright colors of the books on the walls) contrasted beautifully with the dark blue table linens, making for a warm and elegant reception space.
After the first dance, heartfelt toasts from the wedding party, and a traditional Hora, the celebration was underway! The dance floor was packed all night, and everyone was happy to celebrate this beautiful day with an amazing couple. Congratulations Tamara and Jacob!
